To take care of the physical and mental challenged students
and to provide them more opportunities of entering school, Kaohsiung
City Government resolved in the 44 1st chief meeting to establish
a comprehensive special school.
The school was temporarily named Kaohsiung
Municipal Third Special School at the beginning of preparation
in August 1994.
And the formal name , Kaohsiung Municipal
Nan Tzu Special School , was settled on Jan.15, 1996.
The school is situated at Nan Tzu Dist.,
Kaohsiung City. River Hou Ching and City Park are in its east
side, and National Kaohsiung Marine Technical College and
Nan Tzu Processing Area in its southwest side.
The 1st-phrase school premise was broken
ground on Mother’s Day in May 1997, finished in June 1998,formally
established and employed teachers in July, and the first enrolment
of students formally started the class in September.
The 2nd phrase was constructed in September
1999, and finished in September 2001.
The 3rd phrase was constructed in September
2001, and all the school was completed after it was finished.
